March Came In Like A Lion

It is said that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. We have definitely seen the “lion” part of March this year, as we patiently waited for the “lamb”.

Unfortunately, when we have warm days followed by cold days and then warm days return, it can be very confusing as what to do with our cooling and heating system. Should we turn the a/c on? Should we turn the heat off?

It is usually best to wait for at least 2 days of warm weather before turning on the a/c. This will allow the oil in the compressor to loosen up and operate more efficiently. Turning it on too soon could result in damage to the compressor.

When switching from heating to cooling, you should wait a few minutes between turning the heat off and the a/c on. This will ensure that the circuit board does not get fried.
